Orange Bird Sighting: The New EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival Collection

Everyone who loves Disney knows about the International Flower and Garden Festival that Disney puts on each and every year. And this year it is both better than ever and longer than ever! Traditionally, the festival takes place in late Spring, but Disney is giving us some extra magic by extending the festival this year. So this year, the festival runs from March 1st until July 5th.

This festival, as always, includes some fantastical topiaries (we love the Buzz Lightyear one!), helpful gardening tips, and, of course, merchandise. This year the theme is Orange Bird, which if you don't know was a Disney mascot created in 1970 that sponsored the Tiki Room. Who doesn't absolutely love Disney's Mickey Mouse Ears? Well, count us among the masses because we definitely do. And these ears were quickly among some of our favorites. The ears themselves feature the Orange Bird on both sides with an orange bow in between. We especially love the orange color that is both bright and reminds us of the Florida sun. Finally, it features the phrase "orange vibes" on the side, which is exactly the feeling these ears give us!

For The Coffee Lover: The Orange Bird Mug

We are obsessed with The Orange Bird Mug! Much like all the other items in the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival, the Orange Bird is on both sides of the mug. And while both sides are cute, one side includes the Orange Bird sitting on the EPCOT Spaceship Earth with oranges growing on it which is absolutely adorable. The mug handle is also notable as it has a detailed branch-inspired look!

For The Plant Lover: The Orange Bird Planter

Since the EPCOT Flower & Garden festival is all about gardening, it makes sense that the merchandise would be properly themed. And for those who are into the flower and garden aspect of the festival, the planter is a perfect addition to their home! The planter is based on a tree stump that includes the Orange Bird sitting on a branch. The flowers on the front are a particularly great addition if you plan to plant flowers on the inside!

For The Spirit Jersey Lover: The Orange Bird Spirit Jersey

Disney has a wide range of Spirit Jerseys, and in our opinion, The Orange Bird Spirit Jersey is an absolute must for anyone who likes Spirit Jerseys. The Spirit Jersey includes a bright two-colored scheme with orange on the top and a darker yellow on the bottom. The front is simple, including a small Orange Bird, but the back is like a true Florida party! The back has "Spread the Sunshine" written across it and includes a flower garden being tended to by two Orange Birds.

Overall, we felt like the 2023 EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival merchandise was bright, colorful, and each piece made Spring feel like it is here!
